The Harmonica Maintenance
Apr 24, 2018

First, afraid of water:

She would be afraid of anything related to water, including saliva. Water can easily hide or stain the cover plate, screws, and seat plate, and the saliva is easy to accumulate. Therefore, after the playing is finished, gently pat the water and spray the alcohol to disinfect the face of the piano. The handkerchief cleans the cover and the mouth of the guitar. If it can be left down, it will be better to wait for drying. Finally put the harmonica inside the packing box and store it in a ventilated place (because it is also afraid of moisture).

Second, afraid of heat:

Avoid using hot water for high-temperature sterilization, or near hot heat sources, because plastic parts can be distorted and permanently damaged.

Third, fear of dirty:

In addition to being clean at all times, wind instruments should be given priority to hygiene, and should not be borrowed from others or given to others. In addition, do not rush to play after the completion of the meal, try not to affect the digestive system, if you must blow, you must first gargle thoroughly, so as to avoid the residue of vegetable cuttings into the mouth of the piano.

Fourth, afraid of falling:

The reed is vulnerable to violent vibration from the external force and deviates from the spring hole, resulting in a mute (Note 1) or noise, so be careful when using it. Violent blows can also cause the reed to be creased by improper force (Note 2), which in turn breaks because the reed is not so strong.

Fifth, afraid of:

After the harmonica is used for a period of time, inaccurate sound may occur due to excessive foreign matter deposited on the reeds. Beginners can use tuner to verify. If you are not sure, you will need to tune in. It is recommended that you give it to a professional or a teacher to handle it properly.
