The scale arrangement and performance requirements of the harmonica
Nov 18, 2017

There are ten blow holes in the diatonic harmonica, and two sounds are produced in the blowing-suction process of each hole. The size of the harmonica is very small, so it will be easy to carry. Its timbre has the equivalent imitation ability, generally is beautiful with a little melancholy, so it is suitable for the country, rock, jazz, folk style and so on.
In use, the common 10 hole harmonica has a common characteristic, which is that there is no F and A in the bass and there is no B in the descant. This is mainly for the sake of harmony. The player  still can use the bending technology to play the missing scale.

The scale arrangement of the octave harmonica
The scale arrangement of the octave harmonica is same as the tremolo harmonica. The scale arrangement and the reed arrangement are same. And the difference is that the pitch of the two reeds of the same sound varies an octave. The tone is full and vigorous, beautiful, and no tremolo effect. It is suitable for playing the old folk music and Irish music.

Bariton harmonica

The bariton harmonica is BARITON. The bariton harmonica is similar to the tremolo harmonica, and its sound is eight octaves lower than the soprano harmonica. In the large ensemble, it is often accompanied by a heavy melody. The bariton harmonica is equal to the viola part of the orchestra when it is played. The bariton harmonica is the main member of the harmonica family. It can mix the music in the ensemble and be good at expressing feelings like a solo instrument.
